The Satyanarayana Vratham is performed on Pournami, on special occasions such as a griha pravesham, or whenever a family wishes to give thanks.
Preparation
Clean the pooja space, draw a kolam and set up a peeta with a picture of Lord Satyanarayana. Keep a kalasham, flowers, fruits and the prasadam ingredients ready.

The prasadam
The traditional prasadam is made with semolina, ghee, sugar, milk and banana, offered to the Lord and then shared with everyone present.
